A Bruce Grindle, 67, of Mars, PA formed y of Mount Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023. He was born January 2, 1956, the son of the late Arthur B. Grindle and Betty S. Grindle. He was a graduate of the Mount Pleasant Area High School with the class of 1974 serving as the class Valedictorian. He proudly graduated with honors from The Pennsylvania State University class of 1978 with a BS in Petroleum Engineering. Bruce was co-owner and President of Oil & Gas Management, Inc. from May 13, 1991 until his retirement in November, 2020. He also worked for Fox Oil & Gas and Keystone Oil & Gas. Bruce was dedicated to the conventional oil and gas industry and in 2016, he was appointed by the Governor of Pennsylvania to serve as a member of the Pennsylvania Grade Crude Development Advisory Council. He also served as a board member of Pennsylvania Grade Crude Coalition from 2013 to 2019 and voted Vice President in 2014, a member of The Society of Petroleum Engineers and a lifetime member of PIOGA, the Pennsylvania Independent Oil and Gas Association. He was Lutheran by faith and a current member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Trauger, PA. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Kimberly Bourke Grindle; proud and loving father of Melissa McDonough (Devin) and his beloved granddaughter, Madison Lee McDonough, all of Mars, PA.; his siblings, Brian Grindle (Debbie), Brenda Loucks (Barry) and Barry Grindle all of Mount Pleasant and several nieces and nephews. In addition of his parents, he was predeceased by an infant sister and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Wednesday April 12, 2023 at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 730 W. MAIN STREET MT. PLEASANT where services will be held at 11am Thursday, April 13, 2023 with Rev Samuel Blair Officiating.  The family would like to thank the entire staff at Rose Crest and the Bridges Hospice staff; June, Jess, Tam, Krista, Lisa, Elizabeth and Rev. Samuel Blair for their compassionate care of Bruce and our family during his journey home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donation be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter 2835 Carson Street, Suite 200 Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
