Adeline Marie Rega Newell, 90 of Mount Pleasant, passed away with her family by her side, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Easy Living Country Estates. Adeline was born February 19, 1928 in Mount Pleasant the daughter of the late Jerry and Carmela Caroleo Rega. Adeline was a 1946 graduate of Ramsay High School, a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church and was employed by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission as a toll collector retiring after 20 years of service. She also was a member of TREA Chapter 98 Auxiliary. Surviving are her children, Kenneth J. Newell (Jennifer) of VA and Dorinda Ober (Steve) of Mt.Pleasant; grandchildren, Christina M. Betlan (Jeff) of Scottdale, Alison M. Bonnell (Jimmy) of Richmond, VA and Brennan M. Newell (Amy) of Atlanta, GA; great grandchildren, Emerson M. Bonnell, Grayson J. Bonnell and Madelyn E. Betlan; brothers, Gene Rega (Jan) and Ralph Rega of Mt. Pleasant; sister-in-law, Dolores Rega of OH; nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Lillian Mae Stewart and Nancy Lou Saloom (Gene). In addition to her parents, Adeline was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth M. Newell, brothers, Donald, Michael and Anthony Rega and sister-in-law Beverly Rega. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 to 8PM Tuesday at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant where parting prayers will be held at 9:30 AM Wednesday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Pius X Catholic Church with Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Entombment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contribution in memory of Adeline may be made to Excela Health Home Care and Hospice 501 W. Otterman Street Greensburg, PA 15601. A parish wake service will be held 3PM Tuesday followed by TREA Chapter 98 Auxillary at 7PM in the funeral home.
