Amy J. Zvara 52 of Southwest passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024 at her home with her loving husband and children by her side. Amy was born December 5, 1971 in Mt. Pleasant the daughter of the late Beverly J. Sheppard. Amy was a member of the Mt. Joy Covenant Brethren Church. She was a 1990 graduate of Connellsville High School and attended Westmoreland County Community College earning a degree in business administration. She was formerly employed by Anchor Hocking and Peter’s Eyecare. She loved all six of her cats and her dog, Brandi. Surviving are her husband, Andrew “Benny” Zvara; a son Andrew Zvara and a daughter, Abby Zvara; a sister-in-law, Heather Crock; aunts, Betty Robosky, Joann Kint and Mary Sheppard, also surviving are numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday, July 12, 2024 at Slater-Rega Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant. Additional visitation will be held from 10-11am on Saturday, July 14, 2024 at the Mt. Joy Covenant Brethren Church, Mt. Pleasant where services will be held at 11am with Pastor Lee Smith officiating.
