Beatrice Ellen (Teman) Funk-89-of Greensburg, Pa-passed away September 10, surrounded by her family after bravely battling Parkinsons for 5 years. Born on April 14, 1935, Bea was originally from McKeesport Pennsylvania and spent the majority of her life in Mount Pleasant, PA. She was an amazing and loving mother, a doting Grandma/Mimi, a caring Sister, Aunt and supportive friend. Bea was proceeded in death by her Mother Agnes (Hunker) Teman, her father Arthur Teman, her brothers Arthur and Peter Teman, and her sisters Dolores Flynn, and Helen Socrates and by her husband Howard C. Funk. Bea is survived by her daughter, Cyndi Funk of Murrysville, PA and daughter and son-in-law Jackie and Jody Mullens and granddaughter Ashley Mullens (the apple of her eye), and by her grand puppy Bissy (her buddy) all of Canonsburg, Pa. Bea was known for her kindness, her dancing blue eyes, and her witty sense of humor. She loved spending time with her family and doting on her granddaughter Ashley. She was an amazing baker and cook. She loved to read, she read voraciously-even in her last days. She enjoyed watching Pittsburgh Steeler football, especially with her daughter Cyndi. Even at the end, she was a fierce card player, rummy being her favorite game-and Jackie and Ashley her favorite card playing buddies. Bea’s departure leaves an unfillable void in their lives, yet they find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared, and know that she is in a better place with our Lord Jesus Christ. The family would like to send a very special heartfelt thank-you to the staff at St Anne Home for the compassion, care, friendship and love they provided to her over the past five years. You are all angels, and our Mom loved you very much. The family is planning a private family service in celebration of Bea’s life. Donations in her name can be made to Saint Jude Hospital (https//www.stjude.org) ,-an organization that she faithfully supported.
