Bernice A. Tylka

Bernice A. Tylka, 94 of Mt Pleasant passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Eicher's Personal Care Home, Normalville.  Bernice was born April 6, 1929 in Mt. Pleasant the daughter of the late Andrew and Felicia Karbowska Czarniak.  She was a member  of the former Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant and was formerly employed by Anchor Hocking and also a member of the North Versailles Senior Citizens Center.  Surviving are her children, Bernice Tylka of Mt Pleasant, Frank J. Tylka (Patricia) of Wilmerding, Kevin M. Tylka (Tammy) of Manor,  Cynthia Ursiny of Mt. Pleasant and Deborah Jean Cucchiara of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Nicole Heiser (Russ), Matthew Ursiny, Kevin A. Tylka and Kara Tylka: great grandchildren Carter Maldonado and Maddox Heiser; and a sister Frances Lipko of Connellsville. In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by  her husband of 46 years,  Frank W. Tylka and a grandson, Andrew Tylka; siblings, Andrew Czarniak, Jr., Edward Czarniak, Chester Czarniak, Florence Scechula, Mary Rodgers, Helen Sowka, Lottie Ludvik and Stephania Cammeresi. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Monday, September 11, 2023 at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC 730 W. MAIN STREET MT. PLEASANT, Parting prayers will be conducted at 9:30am Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at the funeral home followed by a mass of christian burial at 10am at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church Mt. Pleasant. Entombment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, North Versailles.
