Betty Jean Bowser. 74 of Hunker passed away Thursday September 5, 2013 at the West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Betty was born August 26, 1939 in Mount Pleasant the daughter of the late Kenneth J. and Pearl O. Hoyman Baldwin. Betty was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, New Stanton. She was a very loving and caring person who loved to bake and cook for her family and friends and enjoyed making tissue flowers and coloring.
Surviving are her children, Freeman Leo Bowser, Jr. and wife Cheryl, John Gove Bowser and wife Cindy both of Hunker and Dorothy Johnson and Husband David of Alverton; brothers, David Baldwin and friend Lee of Tarrs, Wayne "Butch" Baldwin and wife Mary of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Anna Mae Frazier of Mt. Pleasant, Cathy Baldwin of Greensburg, Nancy Shultz of Tarrs, Christina Durkota and husband Mike of Greensburg and Evelyn Fox and husband Don of Mount Pleasant; grandchildren, Heather Miller, Kenneth, Amber, Jessica, Skyler, Dalton and Dylan Bowser and a great granddaughter Madison Miller and sisters-in-law, Cookie and Gurtie Baldwin; also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Bowser in 1992; a grandson David Johnson II in 1999; brothers, Harry, Robert, Kenneth and Christopher Baldwin; sisters, Sarah Mountain and Mary Lou Shaw and brothers-in-law, Richard Shaw and George Shultz.
Family and friends are being welcomed from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Monday to the SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, INC 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant (724-547-2122) where services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday with Rev. Richard Sementilli officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
