Betty L. Catalina, 91 of Tarrs, Pa passed away peacefully on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Woodcrest Senior Living, Scottdale. Betty was born November 7, 1931 in Mt Pleasant the daughter of the late Charles and Pearl Raymond Nemesek. Betty formerly attended the Mt Pleasant Methodist Church and currently the New Stanton Church. She loved to cook and bake for family gatherings and loved her family. Betty and her husband were very committed to their family, attending all the children and grandchildren activities, she also enjoyed gardening and walking. Betty was as strong as she was nurturing, caring as she was feisty and the most loyal to all she loved.
Surviving are her children, Ronald Catalina (Becky) of Ruffsdale and Tammy Liprando (Larry) of Mt Pleasant; grandchildren, Samantha Catalina, Cody Catalina (Lauryn), and Luke Liprando (Michaela). Step-grand children Greg, Andy and Lindsay Liprando; and a sister, Flo Miller of Florida.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Frank Catalina, a brother, Raymond Nemesek and sisters, Dorothy Long and Nancy Kalp. The family would like to thank her caregivers, the staff at Woodcrest Senior Living and Amedysis Hospice for the kind care of Betty.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Monday June 26, 2023 at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, INC 730 W. MAIN STREET MT. PLEASANT where services will be held at 10am Tuesday June 27, 2023 with Rev Stephen Bane officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Tarrs.
