Carl V. Marker

Carl V. Marker, 84 of Stahlstown passed away Monday June 12, 2023 at his home.  Carl was born on December 26, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant a son of Carl B.and Evelyn Miller Marker.  Carl attended Ramsay High School and  was formerly employed by Hanson Aggregate Co. as an operations manager. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and was always ready for a good card game.  Surviving are his wife, Donna Marker of Mt. Pleasant; children, Carl Marker ( Charlene) of Ruffsdale, Brenda Walther (Jeffrey) of Washington, PA and Dale Marker (Amy) of Acme, PA; grandchildren, Stephanie Saunders (Brad), Emily Rudman (Ben), Amanda Marker, Anne Walther and Alexis Marker; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Andrew Rudman; and his companion and caregiver, Ruby Marker; brothers, Sherman Marker (Joanne) of Washington, PA and Larry Marker (Kim) of Ruffsdale. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Brent Marker and his siblings, Nancy Kregar, Gerald Marker and Raymond Marker.  The family would like to thank Excela Health and Hospice Care for their kind care of Carl.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Wednesday at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC 730 W.MAIN STREET MT PLEASANT where services will be held at 1pm Thursday with Rev Lee Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Joy Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
