Caroline C. Kalamasz

Caroline Kalamasz of North Roytalton, OH formerly of Latrobe passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family December 17,2012 at the age of 87. Born February 4, 1925 in Pennsylvania to Peter Zadell and Caroline Sedmak Zadell, she was the wife of the late Joseph Kalamasz; Mother to Linda and Michael Kalamasz; Grandmother to Joe,Samantha,Sarah and Jake Kalamasz; Aunt to Dennis Zadell; Sister to Harry Zadell, and the late Louise Roddy, Jenny Zadell, Pete Zadell and Albert Zadell. In her passing, let's remember what she loved and made her happy. She loved to bake pies and cakes from scratch for her kids, loved music, playing both the guitarand accordian and enjoyed playing in a band. She loved the animals, especially the young ones, not a day would go by that she would miss putting out food for the birds in the morning and food for the strays at night, be it cat, dog or occasional skunk. She loved God, her rosaries and visiting the old churches and missions in Mexico and California. She enjoyed exploring the pyramids and bartering with the vendors at the bazaar, practicing her new Spanish vocabulary. Her favorite color was purple, her favorite flower the Orchid. She enjoyed buying the taxi drivers lunch and always had treats and a cold gatorade for the gardener. KFC or a McDonalds filet o'fish would bring a smile to her face. She loved to crochet and made countless blankets for her family, friends and the church. She loved giving whatever she had to someone who she thought needed it more, even if it was something she needed. Her biggest love of all was her family, she was a great Sister, Mother and Grandmother, nothing made her happier then spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren were a shining star in her life and they gave her many years of happiness. Caroline spent her entire life taking care of the needs of others before herself. The world was a better place because of her and she will be deeply missed by family and friends who loved her dearly. Love you..........Linda,Michael,Joe,Sarah,Samantha,Jake.
