Clara J. Roberts

Clara J. Roberts 98 of Ruffs Dale passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Excela Health Frick Hospital Mt. Pleasant. Clara was born August 10, 1916 in Buchanan County, VA the daughter of the late John Henry and Almedia Mullins. Clara was a graduate of Grundy Presbyterian School and a member of the Heritage Baptist Church, Jeannette. Clara loved to shop, the height of her social life was going out to eat, one of her favorite restaurants being the Cracker Barrel in New Stanton where the waitresses would gather around to visit with her. Surviving are her children, Kenneth Roberts and wife Cece of Ruffs Dale and Judy Hertzog and husband Clyde of Wexford; grandchildren, Brian Roberts, Karen Fitch, David Roberts and wife Jan, James Hertzog and wife Jennifer, Sheri George and husband Jason and Layne Harris; great grandchildren, Maston Roberts, Carys Hertzog, Sawyer Hertzog, Marissa and Nadia Harris; a brother John Henry Mullins of Manassas, VA and sister Okie Hoops of Bristol, TN. In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by a sister, Golda Elswick and a brother Stewart Mullins. Private interment will be in the Jackson Cemetery, Buchannon County, VA.
