David Lee Hunter, 77 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday November 5, 2016 at the Family Hospice and Primitive Care, Pittsburgh. David was born April 23, 1939, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late John J. and Dorothy J. Shank Hunter. David was a former member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Mt. Pleasant, he was formerly employed by Fansteel Corp., retiring after 35 years as plant manger, a member of Hecla Sportman's Club, Kecksburg Fireman's Club and various other social clubs, he was also a former member of the Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his children, Lynn Hunter and Kelly Hunter and wife Jackie both of KY, grandchildren, Connie Sester, Lance and Alexandria Hunter and a great granddaughter, Madeline Johnson; a brother John Hunter of OK and a sister, Pamela Fox of NC. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a son, John Paul Hunter on December 20, 1985. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 12 to 2 and 3:30 to 5:30PM to the SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant where services will be held at 5:30PM Wednesday with Pastor Karen Thompson officiating. David Lee Hunter will be laid to rest in the Rosecrest Cemetery, Versailles, Ky.
