David P. Wilkins, 73, of Tarrs, passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at his home with his loving family by his side. David was born Oct. 30, 1948, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Paul A. and Grace Millward Wilkins. David was a 1966 graduate of Southmoreland High School, a member of the Living Hope Church, Whitney, and was a Vietnam veteran, serving with the Coast Guard. David was formerly employed by the Uptagraf Corp., Volkeswagon of America and was currently involved in flipping homes in the area. He was a miniature train enthusiast, a gun collector and loved to travel, especially to the beach. He loved to eat a good meal. Surviving are his wife, Sharon Coddington Wilkins; daughter, Cindy Marshall (Mark); and David's 57 grandcats; stepchildren, Terri Ackerman (Mark Adolfson) and John Ackerman; grandchildren, William Dull, Sophia an Isabel and stepgrandchildren , Andrew Dull, Jonathan, Ana and Emma Ackerman; a sister, Linda Goodlin (Tom); stepmother Catherine Wilkins; step brothers, Rege Biller (Gina), Ken Biller (Jennifer); step sisters, Rose Biller, Laurie Tucker (Ed), Anita Garlowitch (Tim) and Cathy Beveridge (John) and his pet cats, Guy and Baby. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Ann Wilkins. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, 730 W. MAIN ST., MT. PLEASANT where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursdaywith the Rev. Doug Allen officiating. Interment with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 446, Mt.
