Dennis Wehrle Kreinbrook

Dr. Dennis Wehrle Kreinbrook, 70, of Greensburg died Tuesday, November 23, 2021. He was born June 20, 1951 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Mildred Nist Shrum and the late Theodore Kreinbrook. Dennis was a graduate of West Virginia University, received a masters from California state college, and he received his PhD from University of Pittsburgh. He had a prominent psychology practice in Greensburg and was very committed to this business with a passion for helping people through counseling. In addition, he taught psychology courses at Westmoreland County Community College for 40 years.

Outside of his professional career, Dennis enjoyed spending time with family and was engaged in various hobbies. He was an avid golfer and played on some of the best courses throughout the country with his golfing buddies and family members. He also enjoyed traveling around the world, and he was particularly fond of visiting with his family in Germany. Dennis had a broad interest in the arts with a special talent for landscaping and architectural design. He personally was involved with the building design, interior decor, and landscaping of his home and business offices. He also had a great appreciation for music, and especially loved live rock-and-roll concerts.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Kreinbrook; his brother, Theodore W. Kreinbrook; paternal grandparents Richard and Margaret Primus; and maternal grandparents Karl and Emma Wehrle. Dennis is survived by Mildred Nist Shrum, his mother; Melody Hazelbaker, his partner of 27 years; Aaron and Mary Ellen Kreinbrook, his son and daughter-in-law, with their children James and Elena; Dustin Kreinbrook, his son; Jim Hazelbaker his step-son and his children Jade, Jozee, and Jude; Samantha Corrick, his step-niece; Kyra Kreinbrook, his niece; and Greg Kreinbrook, his nephew. He is also survived by his uncle and aunt, Kenneth and Constance (Hegland) Primus and close cousins Joe and Debbie Rolek; Mark Primus; Ron Primus; Chris Forney; Michele Stanley and Sheri Robinson. In addition, he is survived by numerous friends and professional colleagues with whom he has worked with for over 40 years.
