Dolores K. Andrews Van Dine 98 of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Pleasant Hills passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the Amber House Mt. Pleasant. Dolores was born May 28, 1917 in Pittsburgh. Dolores graduated as the fastest typist and was excellent at short hand. She worked at the South Hills Record in Mt. Oliver and for Sears catalog department as a teletype Specialist where she met and married her boss, Howard Van Dine. They traveled to Hawaii and spent a year in Arizona, but missed PA moving back in the mid 70's. Dolores played the steel guitar and was a loving wife, a caring mother and an active grandmother and very special mother-in-law. She never complained and always found the bright side. She was a meticulous woman,very particular about her appearance and gracious to all. Dolores spent her last 9 years at Amber House where she was delighted by the wonderful care she received by the staff. Surviving are her sons, Sonny Andrews and wife Marie and Bill Andrews and wife Lois; grandchildren, Kimberly Hankie, Bill Andrews and wife Lisa, Dale Andrews and wife Faith, Sandy Knight and husband Dale, Lisa and Mark Andrews and a great grandson, Billy Andrews.
