Dorothy S. Zelenak

Dorothy S. Zelenak 85 of Greensburg formerly Mount Pleasant passed away Wednesday October 1, 2014 at the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. Dorothy was born November 24, 1928 in Pittsburgh the daughter of the late Henry Scott and Mary Milon Scott Doyle. Dorothy was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Greensburg, a former member of Visitation Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Visitation Rosary and Altar Society Mt. Pleasant, she was also a graduate of Hurst High School. Surviving are her children, John Zelenak and Diane Zelenak both of Greensburg; grandchildren, Thomas Zelenak and fiance Nicole Vesely and Melissa Zelenak; also numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Zelenak, October 16, 1985. The family would like to thank the staff of Westmoreland Manor and the residents of Eagle Tree Apartments for their care and kindness. The family is inviting friends from 4 to 8PM Friday to the SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant 724-547-2122 where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 am Saturday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in the Visitation Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Visitation Cemetery. A parish wake service will be held at 3:30PM Friday followed by the Rosary and Altar Society reciting the rosary in the funeral home.
