Elizabeth Jean Rydle

Elizabeth Jean Rydle 85 of Mount Pleasant passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at the Weatherwood Manor, Greensburg. Jean was born January 21, 1929 in Mount Pleasant the daughter of the late Frank and Rose Soforic Rydle. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Mount Pleasant, was a 1947 graduate of Ramsay High School and had attended the University of Pittsburgh. Jean was a retired Administrative Assistant for the Westinghouse Corp. at both the Youngwood and Monroeville locations. Surviving are her sister, Irene Palanko and husband Joseph of Mount Pleasant; a niece, Deborah Mikita and husband Ed of Greensburg and a great nephew, Jonathan Hartland and wife Erin of Pittsburgh. Friends are invited from 10 to 11AM Wednesday to the SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant (724-547-2122) where services will be held at 11AM with Jean's great nephew, Jonathan Hartland officiating. Private interment for the family will be held in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Weatherwood Manor, where Jean was a resident for over 4 years, and the nurses and staff of Excela Westmoreland Hospice for their kind an considerate care of Jean, she was truly blessed to have had such excellent care.
