Emma Jean Wilkins Stairs Shreves Thompson, 93 of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday June 1, 2015. Emma was born April 5, 1922 in Kecksburg, PA the daughter of the late David and Nellie Bungard Wilkins. Emma Jean was a member of the Church of God, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Stairs in 1972; her second husband Leonard Shreves in 2002 and her third husband, Robert Thompson in 2010. She was also preceded in death by siblings Wayne Wilkins, Ray Wilkins, Evelyn Orczyk and Mildred Hull. Emma Jean is survived by her three children, Jane Stahl (Ronald) of Acme, Barbara Wallace (Richard) of Mahaffey and David Stairs (Laura) of Mt. Pleasant; her eight grandchildren, Susan Garland of TX, Barry Stahl of IA, Rick Wallace of MN, Terry Stahl of MD, Wayne Stahl of NY, Ronda Cooksey of TX, Joshua Stairs of PA and Nathan Stairs of CA.; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Also surviving are her special brother, David "Jake" Wilkins and brothers, Lee Wilkins (Sharon) of Mt. Pleasant, Roy "Dee" Wilkins of MD; sisters, Hazel Brown of FL and Dorothy Armstrong of Ruffsdale. Since family members are residing across the country, Friends will be invited from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM Monday, June 8, 2015 to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant 724-547-2122 where services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Private interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Kecksburg.
