Frank L. Rega, 78 of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Central, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant.
Frank was born February 17, 1939 in Mt. Pleasant the son of the late Michael B. and Sarah Smith Rega. Frank was a 1957 graduate of Ramsay High School, a member of the Army Reserve and was formerly employed by Robertshaw Controls, New Stanton, Volkswagen of America and Kasto Corp. as a maintenance electrician. Frank was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed auto body repair, working at the former Carl Galley Autobody Shop in Mt. Pleasant, eventually owning his own repair shop.
Frank is survived by his children, Cheri Rega of Tarrs and Angela Reckner (John) of Monaca; a granddaughter, Jessica Metcalf of Monaca; his brother, Lou Rega (Betty) and sister, Michelle Rice (Chuck) of Mt. Pleasant; nephews and nieces, Michael Rega (Cheryl), Terri Baluh (John), Christy Steck and Scott Haberer (Ang); great nephew and niece, Michael Rega, Jr. (Samantha) and Lindsay Perz (Bill), step-great nephew, Josh Carson and great great niece and nephew, Ruby Josephine Perz and Lewis Michael Rega, II.
The family would like to thank Harmon House and Grane Hospice for their kind and considerate care of Frank.
Family and friends are invited from 1 to 3 PM Sunday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant where services will be held at 3PM with Rev. Dan Hamilton officiating. Private interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
