Gladys Kadylak

Gladys Kadylak 85 of Mount Pleasant passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at UPMC-Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Gladys was born July 23, 1928 in Mount Pleasant the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Swinker Kantorik. She was a member of St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, Scottdale; a 1946 graduate of Hurst High School, a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the ladies auxiliary of the Standard Shaft Citizens Club and the Kosciuszko Club, Mt. Pleasant. Gladys was an avid bowler, participating with the leagues at Pleasant Lanes, Mt. Pleasant and was a member of the All Girls VFW Band. Surviving are her children, David Kadylak and wife Kendal of Oakmont and Steve Kadylak of Mt. Pleasant and granddaughters, Isabella, Olivia and Genevieve Kadylak. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Peter Kadylak in 1993. Friends will be received from 9 to 11AM Wednesday at the SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant where services will be held at 11AM Wednesday with Fr. John Salko officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John's Byzantine Cemetery.
