Gladys May Keffer

Gladys May Keffer, 91 of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 with her loving daughters near her bedside at Excela Health Frick Hospital Mt. Pleasant. Gladys was born June 5 1927 in Crabtree, a daughter of the late Clyde E. and Stella Mae Wilt Leonard. She was a former member of the St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Hunker. Surviving are her daughters, Darlene L.(Keffer) Postlethwait of Ashland, OH and Verla Mae (Keffer) Miller and husband Donald of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Francis Postlethwait (Tammy), Patrick Postlethwait, Daryll Postlethwait (Lacey), Darlene Mellors (Jason), Vickie Pritts (Greg) and Lee Miller (Toni); great grandchildren, Josh Shire, Jacob Martin, Eliza, Lilly and Ella Postlethwait, Derek and Tyler Mellors, Ashley Trout (Kyle), Jordon Miller, Dylan and Tyler McElfresh and a great great grandson, Dexter Allen Martin. In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Levi B. Keffer in 1967, son-in-law, Francis Eugene (Joe) Postlethwait; brothers, Clyde E., Harry F., Calvin G., Oliver G., and Donald E. Leonard and a sister, Garnet L. Noe; also her companion of 25 years, Andrew Toaso. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Harmon House for their care of Gladys over the last three and a half years. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 PM Monday at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE where services will be held at 4PM with Pastor Tom Shirer officiating.
