Glenn D. "Meatballs" Slonecker 82 of McKeesport formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Glenn was born September 25, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant the son of the late Ernest and Celia McConnell Slonecker. Glenn spent many years selling cars for various car dealerships, playing cards, watching football and enjoying time with his family. Glenn is survived by his former wife and friend, Rogene Slonecker of Mt. Pleasant, his daughter Denise Shearer and husband Marvin of Connellsville, granddaughter Stacy Hess and husband Michael of Greensburg, grandson, Matthew Shearer and fiance' Megan Nicholson of Mt. Pleasant, great grandchildren, Gavin and Addison Hess; a sister Ella Jean Kalp of Greensburg; his wife Regina Shipley; her sons, Jamie Shipley and wife Pamela, Darrell Shipley and wife Kim, a daughter, Darci Stokes and husband Jason; grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Juile, Hannah, Ethan, Allison and Piper, also seven great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin, Donald and Raymond Slonecker and one sister, LaVerne Keefer. Friends are invited from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM Wednesday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant where services will held at 10:30AM Thursday with Rev.
