Gregory Forejt

Gregory "Greg" Forejt, Sr. 57 of Ruffsdale passed away unexpectedly on Friday September 29, 2017 at the Davis Medical Center, Elkins, WV. Greg was born August 28, 1960 in Mount Pleasant, the son of Grace Marie Oden Forejt of Ruffsdale and the late Charles "Bus" Forejt. Greg was a 1978 graduate of Yough High School and a 1982 Graduate of West Virginia University. He was the owner/operator of Windy Heights Family Farm in South Huntington Twp., named a Mid Atlantic Master Farmer in 2004, a supplier of Pioneer Seed and a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau and the Westmoreland County Fair Board. Greg loved life with a passion, his family, farming, people and hunting and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him, especially his wife, Lesley Smith Forejt; sons, Garrett Forejt of Carnegie and Gregory S, Forejt (Emily Kelly) of Ruffsdale; his mother, Grace Marie Oden Forejt; brother, Bruce Forejt (Holly) of Mt. Airy, MD; nieces and nephews, Amanda, Adam, Alexandria, Caitlin, Matthew, Troy, Bruce, Jarod and families; mother-in law, Catherine Smith, brother-in law, Brett Smith (MaryAnn), and sister-in-law, Brenda Smith (Jim), all of Connellsville. In addition to his father, Greg was preceded in death by his brother, Bradley "Brad" Forejt. The family is inviting friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM Wednesday and from 11 to 1PM Thursday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant where services will be held at 1PM Thursday with Pastor Brett Diner officiating.
