Hazel V Tempest

May 13, 1938 — January 23, 2024

Hazel Virginia Tempest 85 of Mt Pleasant (Bullskin Twp) passed away Tuesday January 23, 2024 at her home. Hazel had a deep love for her family, and her passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt. She was born to William and Grace Bungard and grew up alongside her siblings, Janet, Doris, Norman, Robert, William, Walter, Richard, and her special sister Florence Thomas. In the 60s, Hazel married the love of her life, William "Bill" Tempest, and together they embarked on a beautiful journey of love and parenthood. They were blessed with four children, but sadly, Hazel had to endure the heartbreak of losing her son, Wild Bill Tempest, and daughter, Erma Tempest, brothers Ray Bungard and Robert Bungard, before her own passing. Despite the hardships she faced, Hazel found solace and joy in the presence of her surviving children, Beverly (Charles) Irwin of Hazen, PA, and Wayne (Linda) Tempest and Linda Miller and Mark Bungard. Her love for her grandchildren, Amanda Irwin, Charles (Cassie) Irwin, Nicole Tempest, and Billy Carnes, knew no bounds. She cherished every moment spent with them and was immensely proud of the family she had raised. Moreover, Hazel was also blessed with multiple great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will forever hold a special place in her heart. Hazel had a gentle spirit and found happiness in the simple joys of life. She loved playing cards with her loved ones and spending hours working on puzzles. These activities brought her immense joy and allowed her to create beautiful memories with her family. Hazel Virginia Tempest was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her unwavering love, kindness, and dedication to her family will never be forgotten. As she joins her son, daughter, and granddaughter, Tonya Tempest, in eternal rest, her legacy of love and cherished memories will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May Hazel rest in peace, knowing she made a profound impact on the lives of her family and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
