Jack H. Grimm, 77, of South Connellsville, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the UPMC-Montifiore Hospital, Pittsburgh. Jack was born on June 18, 1935 in Connellsville the son of the late Harold and Helen Snyder Grimm. Jack was a former member of the Albright United Methodist Church, South Connellsville and most recently attended the Christian Church of Connellsville. Jack was a Korean War Army veteran attaining the rank of Spec. Sargeant First Class, he then continued his military service by enlisting in the Air Force and Air Force Reserve. Jack retired as a Machine Operator for Anchor Hocking Corporation Cap Division. Surviving are his children, Brian Grimm and wife Andrea of South Connellsville, Laura Bruner and husband Ted of Mount Pleasant and Judy Ritenour and husband Randy of South Connellsville; grandchildren, Alisha Ruff and Husband Pat, Nancy Grimm, Stephanie and Kristie Bruner and Amber, Erica and Jace Ritenour; great grandchildren, Benjamin Ritenour, Patrick, Haydn and Patyn Ruff; a sister Patty Sparks and husband Bob of Indian Head, step-sister, Ruthann Bruner and husband Danny of Erie and sister-in-law Mildred (Middy) Grimm of Indian Head and Special friend, Esther Sweeney of Connellsville. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Gwenneth Joanne Karfelt Grimm in 1995, a brother Glenn Grimm and his step-mother, Mary Grimm. Family and Friends are invited from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM Sat and Sunday to the SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, INC. 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant (724-547-2122) where services will be held Monday at 11AM with Rev.Chris Stillwell officiating. Interment with military honors conducted by the American Legion Post 446 Mount Pleasant will follow in the Green Ridge Memorial Park, Bullskin Twp.
