Jerry A. Capo 96, of Connellsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Mountain View Senior Living in Greensburg, Pa. He was born May 17, 1924 in Connellsville, Pa., a son of the late Angelo and Josephine Capo. He was a member of St Rita Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, Pa. He was retired from Stroehmann Brothers Bakery. Jerry was a World War II Navy veteran. Surviving are his son Angelo and his wife, Sue of Irwin, a daughter, Judy Mascioli of Connellsville, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, brothers Nick Capo of Connellsville, and Angelo Capo (Linda) of Manassas, Virginia, daughter-in-law Marcia Capo Joslyn (Bob) of Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Capo, daughter Dianne and son-in-law Ralph Fiesta, son Dennis Capo, great grandson Christopher Capo, brother Frank Capo and wife Midge, and sister Rose Tressler and husband Guy. Visitation for his many friends will be held from 10 to 11am on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, 730 W Main St., Mount Pleasant, PA where prayers of transfer will be held at 11:30 am followed by a mass of Christian burial at noon in St Rita Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, PA with Rev. Paul Lisik as celebrant. Private interment with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 446 Mt. Pleasant will follow in the St. Rita cemetery.
