John A. Coleman,72, of Mount Pleasant passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 He was born on February 21,1954 in the Greensburg Hospital. He was the son of the late Frank and Edna (Wenting) Coleman. John was a 1973 graduate of Hempfield High School and worked for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and retired with 29 years of service with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. John was always known for his kindness and compassion. He was a member of Marion Lodge 562 F & AM. Which he was involved in community outreach.
In addition to his mother and father He is preceded in death by his niece Wendy Halley and his great nephew, Joe Halley John is survived by two brothers Robert Coleman Acme, PA and Frank Coleman of Mechanicsburg PA . His niece Robin (Terry) Nicholson of Mount Pleasant, his Great niece Lacey (Steven) Andrew's of Alabama, and Haley Nicholson of Mount Pleasant, PA
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday April 6, 2026 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC 730 W MAIN STREET where Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 12pm where the service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday April 7, 2026 with Rev James Gleason officiating. Entombment will follow at the Middle Presbyterian Cemetery and Mausoleum.
