John David King

John David King 71 of Mt Pleasant Passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday May 21, 2024.  John was a 1971 graduate of Southmoreland High School and earned his bachelor degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He was formerly employed by Twin Trees Inc. Connellsville as the CEO providing residential care to persons with intellectual disabilities.  He loved his job by utilizing his communication skills with his residents to provide a caring environment.  Always the jokester, he loved to make people laugh and he was the talented drummer for the band, Cabin Fear, he formerly held a membership in the Connellsville Elks and was a huge Steeler fan.  John loved his family, Jamie his wife of 34 years, his son and best buddy, Jack and his loving daughter Julie. He will be truly missed.  Surviving is his wife Jamie Marcus King; children, Jack and Julie (Jonathan) and many wonderful friends.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 8pm Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC 730 W.
