John C. "Jay" Hoak

July 3, 1982 — March 26, 2016

John Calvin Hoak, Jr. 33 of Ruffsdale. On March 26, 2016 we lost our son, father, brother, uncle and friend, God removed his struggles by calling him home and giving him peace everlasting. "Jay" was born July, 3, 1982, a loving son to John C. Hoak, Sr and Alice Ohler Hoak. Also grieving his passing are sisters, Darlene Hoak and children, Tyler Hoak, Dakota and Ryan Dunmire, Jennifer Whetsel and fiance' Paul Sutton and children, Destiny and Tray and his grandmother Gloria Miller. Jay was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Ruth Hoak and William Ohler. Jay was previously employed at Joseph K. Free Roofing, Levin Furniture Warehouse, Joseph Showronek Landscaping and Demo Depot. Jay's greatest joy were his two sons. His first son, Cameron Ray Hoak, 14, was born early and tiny, Dominic Anthony Hoak 9, arrived six years later, feisty and never sleeping. His sons became the center of his universe, they were everything to him. He loved playing outside with them and wrestling on the floor, he worked hard to give them a life filled with love. His children are broken hearted that he has left this life, but they have thousands of marvelous memories that they will take through their lives with them. Jay's life was filled with friends and family that loved him deeply no matter how hard he struggled to stay with us. We will remember his smile that could light up a room and his kind heart, he was a gentle quiet soul who truly had a heart of gold, we will choose to remember those happier times. Friends are invited from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Wednesday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant 724-547-2122 where services will be held at 11AM Thursday with Pastor Douglas Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Tarrs.
