John R. King, 75 of Mt. Pleasant Twp. passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Excela Health Frick Hospital., Mt. Pleasant. John was born June 29, 1945 in Bridgeport (Mt. Pleasant Twp.) the son of the late,William and Mary Blanda King. John was a 1963 graduate of Hurst High School, a member of the New Hope Community Church, where he was active on the board, and participated in the church dartball league. He was the proprietor of JJ'S Automotive, Mt. Pleasant was a member of the NMCA, and had a love for drag racing. Anytime you talked to JJ the subject always turned to racing. His passion and love for the sport was very obvious. JJ loved cars, he loved the family atmosphere and had a need for speed, he also loved making memories with friends, and more. One thing he loved doing the most was talking about those memories he had made. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Jones King; children, Lisa Morrison (Rich), Brian King (Leslie) and Holly Spahr (Richard) all of Mt. Pleasant and Michelle Klingensmith (Rob) of Penn Twp; grandchildren, Lindsay Kuhn (Justin), Noel King (Eric), Faith King, Calleigh Morrison, Brianna and Bryce Klingensmith; great grandchildren, Ryan and Kinley Kuhn; sisters, Evelyn Kuhn, DorothyKuhn, Linda King (Rich) all of Mt. Pleasant and a brother, Paul King (Betty) of SC; also numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. IIn addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by brothers, William, Robert, Curt and Carl King; sisters, Ramona Pasko, Mary Miller and Lillian King; sisters -in-law, Linda King, Doris King and brothers-in-law, Donald Shaw, Sam Miller, Michael Pasko, Jess Kuhn and Edward Kuhn, and a niece, Victoria King. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 to 8PM Friday at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant where services will be held at 2pm Saturday with Paul Eckenrode officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Joy Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Twp.
