Joseph Thomas Fiedor

Joseph Thomas Fiedor , 93, of Mount Pleasant, PA died December 21st in Scottdale Manor.  Mr. Fiedor was born May 2, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA., the son of the late Joseph W. and Blanch Malek Fiedor. He was a former member of the Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, presently a member of St. Pius X Church. 
Joe graduated from the former East Huntngdon High School, Class of 1949. Also, a graduate of Vale Tech in Blairsville ,PA . He was employed by Elliot Co. in Jeannette  until his retirement. 
He was a wonderful brother, uncle & friend. He will be greatly missed by all.  In school, he excelled in football, basketball, golf & baseball. He was a man of many talents. He loved his Polish music. He also played the violin and accordion. He was a Corporal In the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict on the front lines. Joe was a man of many hobbies; carpenter, mechanic, upholstering, quilting, and the latest model ship building. He as a master at everything he did and enjoyed it all. 
He is survived by his loving family, his sister Barbara Rudnik and her husband Leo of Scotdale, Stella Webster and her husband Whitey of New Cumberland W. Va., Bernadette Brownfield and her husband Lester of Latrobe, sister-in-law, Joan Fiedor of Mt. Pleasant. 
In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his brother Eugene Fiedor in 2011, his brother Chester Fiedor in 2020, his sisters Blanche Kubicko in 1995, Mercedes Paterson in 1997 and his niece Sandra Strickler in 2011.  Family and friends will be received Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Slater-Rega Funeral & Cremation Services , Inc  Prayers of transfer will be held in the funeral home at 9:30am Thursday, December 28, 2023 followed by a mass of Christian burial  at 10:00am  at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mt.
