Lawrence W. Humbrecht 80 of Ruffs Dale, PA passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at Life Care Hospital, Monroeville. Lawrence was born June 11, 1932 in Camden, NJ the oldest of five children of the late Wilbur and Lillian Kohlenburg Humbrecht. Lawrence served in the Navy from 1950-1954 during the Korean War and became a merchant marine following his service to our country. He was employed as a truck driver hauling steel for 30 years. He was a dedicated husband to Carol and devoted father to six biological children and four step children. Surviving are his wife Carol Poole Humbrecht, a sister Catherine and husband George Borchert of Cherry Hill, NJ and children, Terrance Humbrecht and wife Michelle of Berlin, NJ, Debra Stein and her significant other, Jim Fleckenstein of Berlin, NJ, Brenda Evangelista and husband Arthur of Waterford Works, NJ, Kevin Humbrecht and wife Beth of New Stanton, Karen Gross and husband Scott of Scottdale, Eric Poole and wife Dawna of Ellwood City, Kristy Garsteck and husband Jim of Mt. Pleasant, Robin Cacese and husband Michael of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert Poole and wife Nancy of Daytona Beach, FL and Annette Poole of Hunker; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by his sisters, Orah Humbrecht, Linda Porter and Gail Renfro and a step-son Larry Poole. He has touched many generations and will be missed by so many. Family and friends are invited from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8PM Thursday to the SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, INC 730 W.
