Louise D. Smith

Louise D. Smith, 75 of Ligonier formerly of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. Louise was born December 26, 1942 in Armbrust, PA the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Rush Ponzurick. Louise was a 1960 graduate of Hurst High School and a former member of the Free Methodist Church of Greensburg. Surviving are her children, Floyd Newill (Carol), Clyde Newill, Mark Newill, Brenda Domurot (John) and Jess Smith; grandchildren, Rebecca and Jeremy Newill, Joshua Newill, Mark Newill, Jr, Tara Newill, Colton and Kendall Domurot; great grandchildren, Logan and Gunner; brother, Donald Ponzurick, sisters, Grace Kelly, Cindy Switalski, Victoria McQuillis and Juanita Clemons; also numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband Lyle Smith, a grandson, Jeffrey Newill; a sister, Eleanore Ponzurick and brothers, James and Timothy Ponzurick. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM Friday at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant and Saturday from 10 to 11AM at the Free Methodist Church of Greensburg 1261 Toppers Road Greensburg, PA 15601 (Everyone Please Meet at the Church) where services will be held at 11AM with Rev.Tim Thunberg officiating.
