Marion (McRae) Sherrow, 92, of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Marion was born on February 29, 1920 in Greensburg, the daughter of the late Alexander and Marion (McComb) McRae. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Greensburg, the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 281 and was formerly employed as a Secretary for Westmoreland Human Opportunities, Inc. retiring after 15 years service in 1984. Marion loved to bake and cook, especially hosting Thankgiving dinner every year for her family who she dearly loved. Surviving are her children, Jane Colello and Paul Kovacs, Susan Del Grosso and husband Richard and John Sherrow and wife Marzy all of Greensburg; grandchildren Anthony, Deborah and Jeffrey Colello, Tina Bayless, Angela Suarez, Jonathan and Nicholas Del Grosso, Jordan and Alexander Sherrow; great grandchildren, Caelyn, Celsea, Carley and Anthony Colello, Mario and Joseph Suarez and a sister Emily Dahlmann of Greensburg. In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. Sherrow in 1996, a son Richard G. Sherrow, Jr., a brother, James S McRae and a sister, Ruth Zink. Friends are welcome from 9-10AM Saturday to the SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, INC, MOUNT PLEASANT (724-547-2122) where services will be held Saturday at 10AM with Rev. Donna Havrisko officiating. Private interment will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Tarrs. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Marion may be made to a charity of choice.
