Martha C. Shaffer Donovan Vilky

Martha C. Shaffer Donovan Vilky 88 of Mt. Pleasant Twp. passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. Martha was born April 8, 1927 in Mount Pleasant the daughter of the late Charles and Evelyn Kortright Shaffer. Martha was a 1945 Graduate of Brownsville High School finishing first in her class, a member of DAR Mt. Pleasant and St. Florian RC Church, United. Martha assisted her husband of 48 years the late Dr. Conrad A. Donovan, D.V.M at the Latrobe Animal Clinic until his retirement in 1985 and enjoyed antiques and artwork. Surviving are her husband, Andrew Vilky; sons, Conrad C. Donovan and wife Sandy of Derry and Dr. Byron L. Donovan and wife Debbie Titusville; grandchildren, Chad Donovan and wife Jenny, Vaughn Donovan and wife Gina, Troy Donovan and wife Kate and Vanessa Nicols and husband Bodey; great grandchildren, Taylor, Tristen, Cassidy, Shayna, Nicholas, Emma, Owen, Cru, Pryce, Payton, Preston and Payge; a great-great granddaughter, Nevaeh; a sister, Virginia Schlage of Chicago and a brothert Robert Shaffer and wife Darlene of Norvelt. In addition to her parents and first husband in 1994, Martha was preceded in death by a grandson, Todd Donovan and a brother John Shaffer. The family is inviting friends from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant 724-547-2122 where a blessing service will be held at 9:30AM Wednesday with Rev. John A. Sedlak officiating. Entombment will follow in the St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.
