Mary Agnes "Aggie" Spinella

October 17, 1921 — August 26, 2014

Mary Agnes ("Aggie") Spinella 92, passed away at 9:00pm on August 26, 2014 at the Bethlen Home, Ligonier. Aggie was born on October 17, 1921, and as a lifelong resident of Mt. Pleasant, PA, her generous spirit and personality touched many individuals, from her church community, The Mount Pleasant United Brethren Church, The Mt. Pleasant Senior Citizens' Association, The Assunta Club, The Kosciuszko Club, The Red Hats, The Bear Rocks Group of Acme, Scottdale Pool (The Water Lilies), The McDonald's Clan, to the Westmoreland Monthly Widows' Luncheon at Westmoreland Community College.

Aggie's life was enriched by her loving relationships with her husband, Gerald, and her parents, Louis and Frances (Rega) Spinelli, who preceded her in death. Aggie is survived by her loving family: her daughter Dr. Gerri Spinella (Dr. Bridget Cahill) of Truro, MA & Evanston, IL; her daughter Marleen Ocasek (Joseph) of Charleston, SC; her grandson Adam Ocasek (Kim) of Thurmont, MD; her granddaughter Erin Ocasek (Christopher Starnes) of Charleston, SC, and her great grandchildren, Annalise and Daniel. Her relatives and dear friends will surely miss her loving, funny greeting cards, well wishes, classic jokes, and phone calls that Aggie so graciously and freely dispersed.

The family is inviting friends from 10 to 11am Saturday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant 724-547-2122 where services will be held at 11am Saturday with Rev Harrison Smith and Rev. John Morrow co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Scottdale Pool, P.O. Box 171, Scottdale, PA, 15683, or The Brethren Church, 201 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, PA.
