Mary J. Winzek

Mary J. Winzek, 92, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at St. Anne Home, Greensburg. Mary was a member of the St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant, the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society and was formerly employed as a seamstress for Connellsville Sportswear. Mary is survived by her children, Dennis Winzek of Mt. Union, PA, David Winzek and Linda Rockwell of Mt. Pleasant and Cathy Savage and husband, Steven of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughters, Stacy Savage Comstock, Sabrina Van Fleet and Shavon Savage; great grandchildren, Grant Van Fleet, Ava and Maya Comstock; a brother, Romelia D'Amato and wife Veronica of Mt. Pleasant and a sister, Helen Nedrow of New Kensington. In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Winzek and brothers, Rudy, George and Dominic D'Amato. Friends are welcome from 2-4 & 6-8PM Thursday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, INC. 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant (724-547-2122), Mount Pleasant where a blessing service will be held Friday at 9:30AM followed by Mary's funeral mass at 10AM in the St. Pius X Church Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Pius X Cemetery. A parish wake service will be held Thursday at 3PM in the funeral home.
