Matthew Dean Rich, 54 of Champion passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 in Odessa, TX.
He was born February 13, 1967 in Colorado, the son of Barbara Rich of New Mexico and the late Matthew Rich. Surviving is his wife, Nadine Taylor Rich, two stepsons, Dakota Taylor (Jessie) and Joe Taylor (Shaye) of Mt. Pleasant; two grandchildren, Joey Taylor and the light of his life, Bella Taylor. Also surviving are his step mother, Kathy Rich of Virginia, brothers, Pete Rich (Mandy) of Export, PA, Andrew Rich of FL, and Teddy Rich of New Mexico, his sister in law, Sheree Tamer of (Nevada) and his dogs, Sadie Bug and Piper(Lily). He was a huge animal lover and got much joy from all his girls.
Matt loved to camp and walk the streams fishing and was member of the Hecla Sportsman's Club. He loved living on the mountain and hanging out at home with his family and dogs. Matt also enjoyed his work family and telling work stories. He was employed by Cactus Wellhead, TX as a service technician and crane operator. In addition to his father, Matthew formerly of (VA) he was preceded in death by his girly girls, Moo Moo, Big Whub and his best friend, Sissy.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 8pm Thursday and 9:30 to 10:30am Friday at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant where services will begin at 10:30am with Rev. Tom Shirer officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Matt may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
