Mildred I. Anderson

Mildred I. "Millie" Anderson, 88 of Mount Pleasant passed away Saturday, December 14, 2012 at the Excela Health, Frick Hospital Mount Pleasant. Millie was born May 26, 1924 in Mount Pleasant the daughter of the late Milton and Emma Gehrke Anderson. Millie was a member of the Mount Pleasant Church of the Brethren, a 1942 graduate of Ramsay High School and was formerly employed as a sandblaster for Bryce Brothers Glass and Lenox Crystal, notably being responsible for engraving the Lenox Crystal logo on all crystal products produced. Surviving are her nieces, Ruth Berg and husband Bruce of West Palm Beach, FL, Carole Keller of Scottdale and Sharon Cox of Zelienople; also surviving are great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her brothers and their wives, Clarence "Red" Anderson and wife Mable and Albert Anderson and wife Gertrude. The family is inviting friends from 2-4 & 6-8PM Sunday to the SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, INC 730 W. MAIN STREET MOUNT PLEASANT (724-547-2122) where services will be held at 11AM Monday with Pastor A. Harrison Smith, officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
