Peter D. Champainy, 59 of Mt. Pleasant passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at his home.
Pete was born November 3, 1961 in Mt. Pleasant the son of Dorothy Kubish Champainy and the late David Champainy. He was a 1979 graduate of Southmoreland High School and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. Pete was employed by the former Valley Kitchens as an installer and currently part owner of Eternal Life Cremation Service, Mt. Pleasant. He was a notary public, a member and treasurer of the Tri-Town Sportsman's Association, a member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) and the NRA. In addition to his mother, Pete is survived by his sister, Michelle Frye (Jason) of Scottdale; nephews, Daniel and Aaron Frye, step sons, Santo Piccolomini (Emily) and Mario Piccolomino, both of Uniontown. In addition father, Pete was preceded in death by his close friends, Duane "Butch" Frund and Kevin Pritts.
A private visitation and service will be held for the family on Wednesday at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant. Private interment will be in Transfiguration Cemetery. A service in celebration of Pete's life will be scheduled at a future date by the family.
