Ralph E. Baumann, 91 of Mount Pleasant passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Nature Park Commons, Greensburg with his loving family at his side.
Ralph was the son of Ernest and Alice Hood Baumann. He attended East Huntingdon Twp. High School, and was a WW II Navy veteran, receiving the Pacific, American and Phillipine Liberation Ribbons and a Victory Medal. Ralph retired from US Steel, Irvine Works, was a former member of Transfiguration and Visitation Churches, and attended the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. He was a member of VFW Post 3368 and American Legion Post 446 Mt. Pleasant and enjoyed golfing.
Surviving is his wife, Mary Sharp Baumann; children, Candy Kinnan (Mark) of Connellsville, Ralph E. "Chip" Baumann (Helen) of Mt. Pleasant, Timothy Baumann (Marcie) of Scottdale and Wendy Clark of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Michael, April, Alex, Nicole, Tara, Bryan and Ashley; great grandchildren, Ethan, Charlie, Justin, Paige, Adalyn, Moriah, Mason, Koen, Haleigh, Harlie; and a sister Dianna Harshman of Acme. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernadette C. Busko Baumann and brothers, Donald and Ernest Baumann.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 to 11AM Friday, September 14, 2018 at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE where a celebration of life service for Ralph will begin at 11AM with Rev. Bob Ellson officiating. Interment with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 446 and VFW Post 3368 Mt. Pleasant will follow in the Transfiguration Cemetery.
