Richard M. Gardner, Sr, 67 of Mt. Pleasant passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Greensburg Care Center.
Richard was born February 25, 1954, son of Rudolph and Helen Hoffman Gardner. Rick was a 1972 graduate of Southmoreland High School and a member of the Acme United Methodist Church. He was a self employed master woodworker, cabinet maker and carpenter, the proprietor of Gardner Carpentry and later joined General Industries Co. as a Field Supervisor. Rick had a great love for his family and the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
Surviving is his wife, Donna Bainbridge Gardner; children, Richard M. Gardner, Jr. and Timothy Gardner; grandchildren, Ciara, Elianna, Cabrina, Cade and Travis; a sister, Barbara "Babs" Gardner and a brother, Barry Gardner; nieces and nephews, Michael W. and Steven Anderson, Christopher Bainbridge, Jamie, Barry "BJ" Gardner, Meghan, Rudy, Carley, Leah and Neal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Arc" Gardner.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Thursday at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. MAIN STREET MT. PLEASANT.
