Ricky Stephen Dennison

Ricky Stephen Dennison, 57, of Jones Mills, went to be with his lord and Savior Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, after a courageous battle with an initial blood infection. Rick was born Feb. 28, 1958, in East Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Homer Dennison, who passed in 1991, and Hettie Gum Dennison, who passed in 2001. Rick was a 1976 graduate of Harrisville High School, Harrisville, W. Va., and retired in 2012 as a certified water and wastewater operator in West Virginia and Pennsylvania for more than 24 years. He was currently active as board president and adult Sunday school teacher at Kreger Community Church and was an avid Nascar fan. Family and family functions were very important and a joy in his life. Surviving are his wife, Connie Kunkle Dennison; children, Sarah Beth Lewis and husband, Luke, of PO Box 45, Hemlock, IN 46937, and Benjamin Dennison and wife, Benita, of 221 N. Church St., Harrisville, WV 26362; grandchildren, Daniel and Elijah Dennison, Melissa and Matthew Lewis, and arriving in November, Eliana Marie Lewis; nieces and nephews, Emily Still, Rachel Williams, Ashley Brehm Wyncoop, Mathew, Deanna and Chelsea Kunkle, Mark and Brianna Hissem and Dennis and Bethany Rogers; sisters, Nina Williams and husband, Thom, of 2409 Gum Creek Church Road, Loganville, GA and Rosena Rogers and husband, Darrel, of 4018 Sycamore Drive, Mt. Pleasant, IA 52641. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his first wife, Pamela Moss Dennison (2003), and a nephew, Zachary Williams (1990). Friends are welcome from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Kreger Community Church, 863 Old Franklin Road, Stahlstown, where services will be held at 4 p.m. with Pastors Harry Langley and Keith Hauger officiating. Additional visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Pennsboro Apostolic Church, Pennsboro, W. Va., where services will be held at 4 p.m. with Brother David Simon officiating. A fellowship meal will follow after each service. Private interment will follow in the Moss Family Farm Cemetery, Cairo, W. Va. Arrangements are under direction of SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, 730 W.
