Rita M. Meisner Huncsik 83 0f Mt. Pleasant passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Scottdale Health Care, Scottdale. Rita was born March 17, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant the daughter of the late Michael and Genevieve Meisner. Rita was a member of the former Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church and current member of the Visitation Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. She was formerly employed by Robertshaw Controls, New Stanton and Union Apparel, Norvelt. Rita enjoyed quilting, sewing and was a fan of Elvis Presley. Surviving are her children, Michele Piper and husband Varden and David Huncsik, both of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Brittany Eischeid and husband, Nick of Nocona, TX and Ashleigh Piper of Mt. Pleasant; also surviving is a brother, Eugene Miesner of Lebanon, PA and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband Albert Huncsik in 2003, brothers, Michael and Leo Meisner and a sister, Pauline Cranmer. Family and friends are invited from 6 to 8 PM Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM Friday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30AM Saturday in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in the Visitation Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Forty Martyrs Cemetery. A parish wake service will be held at 3PM Friday in the funeral home.
