Robert J. Baldwin

Robert James Baldwin, 61, of Ruffs Dale, formerly of Mount Pleasant passed away on October 8, 2012 at the Excela Health, Westmoreland Hospital Greensburg. He was born on October 25, 1950 the son of the late of Kenneth and Pearl Hoyman Baldwin. Robert worked as a Food Service Supervisor for SCI - Greensburg and was a Vietnam Army Veteran receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal, attended the Mount Pleasant Assembly of God Church, a member of the American Legion Post 446 Mt. Pleasant and former member of the Mt. Pleasant VFW Post 3368. Robert is survived by his loving daughter, Charlene Sherbondy of Ruffsdale, son, Dannie Baldwin of Lumberton, NC; grandchildren, Riley Baldwin and Gavin Sherbondy; step-children, Ashley and Jesse Yauger of Scottdale; brothers, David Baldwin of Tarrs, PA, Wayne Baldwin of Mount Pleasant; sisters, Betty Bowser of New Stanton, PA, Catherine Baldwin of Greensburg, PA, Anna May Frazier of Mount Pleasant, PA, Nancy Shultz of Tarrs, PA, Christina Durkota of Mount Pleasant, PA, Evelyn Fox of Mount Pleasant, PA; . In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Wandee Baldwin in 1996; brothers, Harry, Kenneth and Donald Baldwin and sisters, Sarah Mountain and Marylou Shaw. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8PM Weds at the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL SERVICE, INC 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant (724-547-2122) where services will be held Thurs at 11AM with Pastor Ron Dugan officiating.
