Ronald F. Bell, 72 of Hunker passed away peacefully with his family by his side at his home.  Ron was born September 14, 1950 in Brownsville the son of the late Arthur Bell, Sr. and Marion Shaw Bell.   He was a 1969 graduate of Greensburg Senior High School and employed in building and equipment maintenance with Super Value.  He was an honorably discharged Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War earning a national service medal and good conduct medal.  He was a member of the Roosevelt Club, American Legion, South Greensburg , the Hempfield Hunt Club, Calumet Club and the VFW Youngwood.  Ron loved traveling, especially to tropical destinations and loved history, traveling to Gettysburg often.  Surviving are his children, Rhonda Moore (Dale), Tracey Flynn (Bernie), Heather Rogers (Shawn), Joseph Zedek and Christopher Zedek; grandchildren, Christina Gray, Kristin Alvarez (Carlos), Amanda Zedek, Tyler Moffe, Randy Moore (Megan), Jessica Tate (TJ), James Zedek, Shane Flynn, Jenna Moore, Maria Moore, Nina Flynn, Sara Flynn, Lucas Moore, Nadia Rogers and Brayden Zedek; great granchildren, Adrianna, Devlin, Owen, Olivia, Annabelle, Carlos, Jr and Elena; a brother, Arthur Bell, Jr (Cindy) and sisters, Janet Hendrick (Tom) and Becky Leonard (Michael); his mother in law Shirley Overly, brothers in law Walter "Buck" Overly and Douglas Overly (Nancy); his companion, Doris Barber, also numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Overly Bell, his brother Tim Bell and father in law, Walter Overly.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Monday January 23, 2023 at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC 730 W. MAIN STREET MT. PLEASANT where services will be held at 11am Tuesday January 24, 2023 with Rev. Lee Maley officiating.  Military honors conducted by American Legion Post 446 Mt. Pleasant will follow at the funeral home.  The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff of Amedysis Palliative and Hospice Care and the Veterans Hospital, Pittsburgh for their care of Ron. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Ron may be made to the VFW 108 S. 4th Street Youngwood, PA 15697.
