Sandie Klass Gaffney

Sandie Klass Gaffney, 56, a graduate of Moon High School, Class of '85 and alumni of Old Dominion University, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Klass and Janet Klass Eastman. Loving mother of Kelsey Gaffney, Kristopher Gaffney and Mikey Gaffney. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Michael Gaffney. Sister of Shirley Klass (David), Jill Klass Gebadlo (Mark) and Joe Klass; best friend to Cindy Klass (Ricky); caring aunt of 11 nieces and nephews; one great-niece and one great-nephew, whom she loved deeply. The world lost a beautiful soul who always put others before herself. She brought joy to everyone she met. She shall not be remembered for being sick, but the life she instilled in others. While selfless and hardworking, she never complained and always pressed on. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, followed by a service at 5 p.m. at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 730 W. Main St., Mt.
