Sara E. Coughenour

Sara E. Coughenour 97 of Orangeburg, SC formerly Mt. Pleasant passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Longwood Plantations Personal Care, Orangeburg, SC, where she resided for the past fifteen months. Sara was born September 30, 1919 in Mt. Pleasant the daughter of the late David and Harriet Meredith Barron. Sara was formerly employed by the W.T. Grant Co. Mt. Pleasant, her favorite hobby was crocheting and she also enjoyed gardening. Surviving are her children, Rebecca Domenico (Pat) of N. Charleston, SC, Irene Kirsch (Terry) of the Villages, FL, Donald Coughenour (Karen) of Cordova, SC and Donna Allen (David) of Greensburg; grandchildren, Robert Stout, Tina Bible, Ann Domenico, Patty Bradley, Leann Kelly, Jessica Holland, Lindsey Brown, Donald Coughenour and Lisa Rincones; also 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H, Coughenour in 1976 and a daughter, Sally Muko in 1989. The family is inviting friends from 5 to 8PM Thursday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant where services will be held at 11AM Friday with Rev Roy Dail from the Greensburg Alliance Church officiating. Private interment will follow in the Green Ridge Memorial Park, Bullskin Twp.
