Sara M. Geckle

Sara M. Geckle 78 of Tarrs passed away Tuesday January 6, 2015 at the Excela Health Frick Hospital. Sara was born June 24, 1936 in East Huntingdon Twp. the daughter of the late John and Mildred Bastiach Labasky. Sara was a member of the East Huntingdon Twp.VFD Ladies Auxiliary for over 43 years holding various offices of the organization. Surviving are her children, Allen Geckle and fiance' Judy of Ruffsdale, Tim Geckle of Tarrs and Tammy Dunn and husband Brian of Bullskin Twp.; a granddaughter Lexi Dunn, step granddaughters, Heather and Brittany and a brother, John Labasky of Hutchinson. In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Geckle in 1982; a sister Betty Labasky Gault, a brother George Labasky and a close family friend George Alexander "Lex" Cunnard. The family is inviting friends from 2 to 8 PM Friday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant (724-547-2122) where a blessing service will be held at 10AM Saturday with Rev.
