Shirley E. Mackey

Shirley E. Mackey, 88 of Mt Pleasant passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at the Harmon House, Mt Pleasant. Shirley was born August 8, 1936 in Mt Pleasant, the daughter of the late Robert H. and Mary Ann Czarniak Rodgers. Shirley was a graduate of Hurst High School and a member of the Transfiguration of Our Lord Parish Mt. Pleasant. Surviving are her sons, Wendell Rupp, Jr, Melvin Rupp (Rose) and Dale Rupp (Ken Collier, Jr.); granddaughter,Jennifer Rupp Larson (Justin);great- grandsons, Luke and Logan Larson, sisters-in-law, Carol and Lois Rodgers. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ken Mackey, great -granddaughter, Mia Larson and brothers, John, Bob and William Rodgers. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday October 8, 2024 at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant where services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday October 9, 2024 Interment will follow in the Middle Presbyterian Cemetery.
