Shirley Wallace Spicher 84 of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Independence Health, Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. Shirley was born on December 7, 1939, in Waterford, PA, the daughter of the late William C. and Mary Beal Wallace. Shirley was a 1957 graduate of LigonierValley High School and the University of Central Florida earning her teaching degree in art. She was an outstanding artist, creating beautiful water color paintings, jewelry, pottery,weaving and sculpting. She was a great cook and loved her pets and riding horses, participating in steeplechase events. Shirley is survived by her daughter Kimberly Spicher of Mt. Pleasant and a brother Richard Wallace and wife Mary of Greensburg; a sister-in-law,Joanne Spicher Livengood (Larry); and also numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J, Spicher, a son Sean Spicher and brothers, Lt Col. John Wallace, Cloyd B. Wallace, Hugh H. Wallace and Robert Wallace in infancy. In honoring Shirley's request, there will be no visitation or service. She will be privately laid to rest.
